Made some pretty good progress tonight, the dash is mostly done and the seat is ready for primer, next time someone offers to sell me a seat for $10 I know to just say no. As you can see in the pics it was in horrible shape and after alot of welding and grinding I had it looking good enough for mud, seems like a whole lot of trouble just to cover it with a seat cover.

Member cadzag72 was nice enough to send me the spring assist rod to copy, I was far to busy so I pawned the job off on my uncle who's a bit of an amateur blacksmith, I think they turned out great. Thanks to everybody else that supplied pics or offered to mail me the rod, willingness to help others is what make this forum great.:beerchug:
