Take a look at this Deck manual that shows the mule drive. One thing I learned on my 1250 is, that if you have a 44a or 50a deck the arms holding the pulleys need to be rotated in the right direction of the offset center pulley so that the belt is not under strain and gets worn prematurely. I had to bend mine manually as someone had the wrong mule drive with the deck. If you have a 42 inch deck or 48 inch deck then the arms and pulleys will be straight because the center pulley on the deck will be centered and not off set. Hope this helps.
