hahah wow. what a sight that is.
I was down in louisville in Feb/March and it snowed. It was like the world ended. Up here near chicago everyone knows what its like. However, the first snow every year everyone forgets how to drive. I used to make a bunch of money when I was in HS pulling my classmates out of the ditch with my truck.

I for one am looking forward to it! I've finally got some Cub Cadets and not only a home to plow out during snow, but I'm going to use them to clear sidewalks at work. They'll be getting a workout for sure! I think a 54" blade with some chained, liquid filled tires and a 42" thrower ought to be good enough

I agree. I've lived in SE MI for 29 years and wouldn't want it any other way. I love each season for equal reasons (and loathe them for reasons as well.) The only thing left to do on my 147 for snow removal is an oil change. Temps at 50 degrees here still I'm not yet comfortable removing the 30 wt. to put in 10w-30.

Not looking forward to it just yet. The 1772's currently under the knife getting a driveshaft rebuild. This will be my first year using the super and hydraulic front blade. Hopefully that diesel won't give me starting fits. So it can hold off at least another couple weeks.

I'm looking forward to it...... kinda. I clear a lot of snow and get paid, so I look forward to that. But the 1811 is getting a "new" cab, and it's not ready yet. And the 125 still isn't up and running. So...... it can hold off for a while yet. Blower is still in the back of the storage shed.

Not ready yet, I invest about $800 to repair my "Out of order" 1650 QL and install the QA42A snowthrower I purchase last year but something is not right, I can barely lift the thrower 2" from the ground and the aluminum bearing support (part 397-044-R1) for the chute rotation is broken, I need to weld it. Since I'm already messing with it I may try to do the window motor mod. I need to find out what motor to use, Rear wheel weight and chain are install but I didn't fill the tire yet, I just don't remember were is the link talking about a special stuff to put in them. I never got enough spare time to build a metal cab for it so a seat cover, a pair of ski goggle and a sheepskin Ushanka Russian hat are my extra protection agains the element....

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
