What did you do to your Cub today?
Since we have a thread about what you did with your cub today I thought I'd start a thread about what you did to your cub today.
I worked on getting the engine mounted in the 1282 and when I got home my son wanted to play outside so while he ran around I spent some time polishing the 108 and 1211 so they look top notch for plow day Saturday.

I had some time this morning so I pulled a troublesome ignition out of my 149 and ordered a replacement from one of our sponsors.

Changed oil and sharpened the blades on my 2072. Also greased it, changed air filter and gauged the tires. Tightned the alum block on the side of the engine where the lines for the remote filter hook up--hopefully this is was the cause of my oil leak.

Put new coil, condenser, points, and plug wire on the 100.
Took the non-IH exaust pipe off the 982 and prepped the orgional pipes and shields for paint. Took the plow off the 782 cause it was taking up too much room.

I worked at removing the hot rod flames off the side panels of the 1050. Ordered trunion springs and a hydro line for the 1862 I have stripped down.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
