Made a little more headway on this project, the dash was in horrible shape with about 20 cracks and a ton of extra holes. The dash was also bent up pretty bad and had some previous welding done that I had to fix. There was an amp gauge in the dash just above the column but I welded it shut and relocated it to a better location, I also added a second hole which will be for the hour meter I ordered.

The hood still needs a little work but is looking really good.

Tim,
I would like to know if you are partially assembling it after priming, then paint it like they did at the factory.
So Tim, are you gonna make it, you think, for plow day with the 100?

I'm going to paint it in pieces and then assemble, I think I'm going to epoxy the inside of the engine tins and put them on to paint the engine in one piece. I hope to make it, I'm pushing as hard as I can without cutting corners. If everything goes right I will have it all in primer tomorrow night and will be painting all the yellow on Saturday and all the white on Sunday, that will give me a week to put Humpty Dumpty back together and get the other 3 tractors ready to go, I plan to bring 4 and hopefully come home with 3. Any body wanna buy a sweet 1050?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
