I flipped the link around where the s part of the bend is towards the steering arm. ( like it should be) . It seems way better. But it’s dark out , not good for test drive. Ha! Now I’m trying to compare pictures of the 104 and 125 front end. Think I’m going to have to go get it from dad this weekend and do some side by side comparison. Maybe swap him out and hope he doesn’t notice.

However the length does matter. Put one on that's too short and tell me things don't change.
Yes.

Meant to say drag link length does not matter as long at it corresponds/coincides with wheelbase change.

Or go to cubcadet.com link above and compare part numbers of components between the two.
I think you will find all of the parts are the same numbers.

Did you measure and adjust the toe?
Too short a tie rod will cause this. The front of the rims need to be closer together than the back, theres a setting in the manual.
I think its great you tried this.

The stock front ends on a 104 and a 125 are the same.....or do you mean the C axle 125 and 104?
I'll save you the trouble...they're very, very different.

The c axle 125 and the stock 104 of my dads. I’m just not seeing the tires being that much different as far as being foreword 3 inches. But I could be wrong. Btw I like the new name ..... c axel 125....

I measured the two I have sitting here. It's "about" 3". Might be 2.75". I verified the distance from the center of the rear axle to the front of the bolster is the same, then measured the wheelbase of both.

J-mech , you might have me on cub knowledge, but not reading a tape measure. Just giving you a hard time, I'm thinking your front end isn't a " straight axel ". It's kicks the wheels forward. Probably a different Cyclopes....

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
