Thumbs up

Nice find! I think you did well on the price too. This 73 would be a great restoration project. My Dad always said that my classic truck was worth a 100.00 more because I have the original paper work and operator's manual. I believe that to be true!

Cheers!

Doesn't look too bad for being a hob cobbled mess at the rear.... but it can be fixed. Nice 73

Wanted to update this thread becasue its been a little while. Got the 73 running, carved off the homemade whatever they were supposed to be fenders, cut off the welded on horseshoe, and got it running. Got some new tru powers and matching rims for the rear and some new skinnies on the front. Changed the oil and slowly doing some misc. maintenance items that it desperately needed. Installed some new front wheel bearings and still have to figure out my no charging issue. Did find out that the F and Gen wires were on the wrong terminals on the regulator and now I need a new one. All in all though its a decent tractor and I'm glad I got it. Thanks again to specifically C5 Rider and Dark Minion for all of your help as well.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
