Seeing you on these cubs, and all the work you do to them, I forget. I'm sorry.

Just make the brakes cable operated and wrap the cable around the steering column so they come on automatically at full lock. Didn't old farmalls have system for that?

No reason to be sorry. When I get up on these tractors and use them, it somehow, someway takes me away from reality sometimes. The big reality check is I need the wife to help me on the GT's. The LT I can get on myself, but with a little boost of the pants loops she's got me on and away I go.

Todd,

The 125 NF turned out great! Now, get a grille for that thing! LOL!

I think I'd make a model of a mid-mount cultivator and put on it. That would be cool!

Looks pretty good

Todd,
Your looking more like a mountain man each time I check this thread. The 125 narrow front is a great looking tractor! It sure does look different with the front kind of jacked up a few inches! I like it!
You did not let this one get the best of you during the build project.
Tell Nancy Hi, and scruff the dog!
Hope your having a great day.
Thanks for the wonderfull pictures that will inspire others to continue to rebuild repair and modify these Cubs!
Regards,
Chris

Default pulled a boner today

Decided I wanted the seat a little lower on the 125. Found a seat pan from a newer tractor, actually fit pretty good.
Needed to raise the rear of the tractor up a little to start a few nuts, not thinking about the "narrow front" proceeded to lean into it a little, and the darn thing flipped over.
Only damage was the exhaust pipe, and my pride. Didn't know what to do, so did the only thing I could think of at the time, was hook the hoist straps around the steering column and try to upright it. After dragging it for a couple feet it got under the hoist and upright it came.
Lesson learned. But I just never thought of it tipping over, and it wasn't but six inches off the ground at best.

Well, it's not every day you see an IH down on it's side like that! One for the "bloopers" sticky of the forum. Glad you are alright!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
