Great job.:beerchug: Do you have any numbers on the paint and what was used? I had some PPG IH red mixed and I'm not sure it's a 100% correct.

Oak, I'm not sure this is 100% correct either. I took the original seat mount to the paint shop and they used the "sun gun" to match the paint. The underside of the bracket had not faded and was still glossy. By doing this I have a custom mix, not a preset formula. I had asked if they had a paint code in their catalogs and there was nothing available. I wanted the added UV protection of a clear coat. The paint looks deep red in person. My shop lights and my camera make it look odd. I would have to say that IronGard IH red is a little darker though. I'm happy with it.

For those who want to know the correct PPG Code for IH 2150 red it is 71310. Just ask your paint dealer for what type of paint, Acrylic Enamel would DAR-71310, Base coat DBU-71310 etc. Some people prefer the PPG 70019 IH red, it is an older color that was used in the 50's and it is somewhat redder than the 71310. If you buy 2150 red from a Case IH dealer it is slightly redder than the PPG 71310 but not as deep as the PPG 70019. I have painted farm tractors with both PPG 71310 and IH 2150 with hardener and both colors look good, but there is a slight color difference if you really look. If using PPG I have had very good long term luck with the DAR 71310 Acrylic Enamel with Hardener. I painted our worker 1066 with it in 1996 and last year I installed a factory cab on it and when I bought more DAR 71310 to paint the cab the color matched perfect. It is very durable when you add the hardener. Hope you do not mind me adding this information to your thread.

Ive been doing medium to heavy mechanic work for 25 years now and I can tell you... it sure takes a toll on your body!
