I changed oil and filter in the 1641 this morning. This engine has always seemed like it ran faster than the 1863 but I thought it was because of the different engines. Anyway while I was fooling with it I got out the tach and checked the no load RPM. It was 4300. I found in the service manual how to adjust it down but never did find what it was supposed to be. I adjusted it down to 3600. Anyone know what it's supposed to be?

Still working on tearing down the old chicken barn.
It had a 30x30 slab that had to come out. I could of rented a "Bobcat" but that would be too quick and easy and leave me no Cubby seat time. I did rent a concrete saw and cut the slab into 3x3/4x4 slabs. Gave the old 1772 with KwickWay loader a good workout. Wow, this thing works great but you need to know its limit. Couldn't fit all of it in this 20 yard dumpster. They told me not to fill it past 3/4 of the way up. Attachment 91491 Attachment 91492 |

Looks too easy Oak, What do they charge for another dumpster?
Concrete is like 4000lbs a yard, so one yard will do a 6" slab and cover 54 sq. ft, 4" would be 81 sq. ft and so on. You can figure out the weight that way. BTDT. A mini excavator with a jackhammer, and a thumb would have been less work and all the concrete would have fit in the dumpster parked next to the slab. BUT, there will be no cub time and it is important to bond with your little yellow and red ones once in a while or they will get angry and not start.:biggrin2: |
I need to see what the weight limit of the box is Lew. I'm probably a little over12 yards for the complete slab X 4000/yard= 48,000 LBS:bigeyes:

Dig a bfh and bury the rest of it.

I just fixed a very small portion of my driveway, busted out 2,600 lbs and brought it landfill, $48.00. Never again. Hand mixed 30 bags of concrete to fix the area, yeah, not doing that again either. :bash2:

We have a ready-mix place that recycles old concrete for free.

Ever seen a Cub feed a Deere?
I got the 2064 started up and mulched up all the leaves the wind brought me a few weeks ago. The 2155 and the 782 cleaned up the rest of the white pine the wind took down. I might be killing grass next week. :beerchug:
