Wow well I stand corrected. I would have figured it would have been clumping bad with grass that high that deck does a good job spreading it out for sure then.

Thanks for sharing Tim.

It started to rain so I had to stop, just went out with a tape measure and measured the uncut grass just for you.

Great vid Tim.:beerchug:
Those decks lay the grass out so nice, even the damp (wet) stuff. Got a 50" on the 1650, and 44" on the 782. NEVER a clump.

For some reason I thought a 782 would be RED.
For sure it's a mowing beast!

Sometimes those old ugly tractors are the best ones!:biggrin2::biggrin2:

Goes to show that all the KT17's weren't bad engines.. I still have one running that hasn't ever been touched!:beerchug:

Thanks! I love it so far. I got the 54" fab deck and it mows great. At the time of purchase I did not have any plans for using it in the garden. My gripe came when I found Cub doesn't offer a tiller anymore. I went the same route another member did with a GTX2100. Bought a johnny products sleeve hitch. JeffinPA made me an adapter to go to 3 point and found a 190-960 MTD tiller. I'd like to find the 30" hydraulic cub tiller someday. Another complaint so far has been that the headlights are not sealed. Water and dust get in very easily. I sealed them with silicone. Pretty easy fix but still. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Tractor was delivered this weekend and so far I love it. The unit feels heavy and not wimpy. The 48" fab deck alone weighs 250lbs per Cub Cadet. It reminds me of my grandpa's old 125 with calcium filled tires he had back in the day. Someone else also noticed the unsealed headlights gather a lot of dust. Mine did too after 30 minutes of mowing so I'll seal them too. This coming weekend I'm hooking up the box scraper to loosen and relocate a lot of old driveway stone to another location. I'll use the Cub Hauler to take it away.
