Got my new seat and put it on, then I found some armrests in my spare parts pile. The seat bolt holes didn't match up with the seat spring so I drilled the seat and fished some bolts down through. Gettin excited about Red Neck Plow Day! The last picture is an LED that I wired off of the rear glow plug to show thay are getting power at start up.

Nice work Oak
|
Oak,
Nice seat! Arm rests are in right now, clean installation! That tractor should plow real strong. Have fun at fun at the plow days and get some pictures for us too. Regards, Chris |

Thanks guys. I got the seat here. http://www.surpluscenter.com/item.as...atname=engines
It is all metal and you will need to drill it to fit. It's nice but the only thing I don't like is it's made in China. It was $92 shipped to my door. |
I would get this seat, I have one on my 122 and it is nice, made in USA, and it is made for the cub cadet 8x11 bolt pattern http://ccspecialties.org/steering_seats.html

I used this one. I used 2 pieces of 1/4 x 2.5 aluminum to adapt it. Four saw cuts and eight drilled holes = $60 or so saved. The guy had it on my doorstep in 2 days.:beerchug:

Yesterday I picked up and installed a spring trip plow on my Original. Tried using the lift rod from my BB36 blower but it is a touch too short, so I will have to get some materials from work and bend a correct one! In the meantime, if we get the 1-5" of snow, that they are forecasting for tonight (it is lake effect snow) so who knows if it will happen, I will drop the pressure in the front tires to get the blade to the ground (it is about an inch high on level ground)
|
I love the looks of those tires... Very nice..
|
Good job, Vince! Love the O tires on the super. :biggrin2:

|
:Cry1: Pulled Cub 102#2 down to my Dad's garage this afternoon, need to pull the gas tank and carb off to clean up this fine and wonderful ethanol garbage gas they sell these days. :Cry1:

Nice work on the blades emptypockets95 :beerchug:
|
thanks diz! just wish i could use both at the same time!!!

We received about 5-6" of snow today so I broke out the O with the 42" spring trip blade that I purchased on Saturday and plowed the 900' drive out. I found out that ags with out chains are not the best with going up and down the paved hills in the drive. I then had to put the original tires with chains on. I also see why I read others putting millions of pounds on the rearends with filled tires and tire weights!

So I had some issues with my belt slipping on my O while plowing snow earlier this week so I noticed when adjusting it that the flat washers were squished and no longer working as a locking mechanism. So I went to the store and purchased some new ones and installed them. I then have had issues with about 3/4 turn if the steering wheel so I decided to tear into that. I found that the two bolts that hold the steering column in place were about 1/2 way loose. I also noticed that the follower thing was also loose so I adjust it and wala, the steering is now much better. Next was checking the tension on the S/G belt and it needed adjusted. So while messing with that, I found that the motor mount bolts were loose. Upon further inspection, they were all stripped out. Another trip to the hardware store and that has now been fixed as well (at least short-term until I decide to go completely through it or not).

Awesome pics, Vince! Looking forward to seeing you, Vince and Danny at plow day.
