Nice aerator and good use of the weights. Will it raise into transport mode when it's loaded?:bigthink:

Yes.. the handle will drop the wheels and raise the unit. The instructions said 140 pounds max but I think that just for transport mode. However It handled the 200 pounds. I put the weight exactly over the center core axle. I might beef up the axles a little as they did look slightly cambered from the extra weight.

Thanks Allen, I am happy with the results. I really wanted a gas powered walk behind aerator. I was at an auction last week and there was 7 of them there. I waited till the final 2 were selling to bid. The last 2 the auctioneer made choice. The guy bidding against me bid 500$ and I thought I would wait for last unit. The other guy chose both. So I purchased this. Now that I think about it I saved quite a bit of money on something I will only use once a year. Also the good news is, Anyone who wants to borrow will need a tractor to pull it. If I bought the gas job I think I would have had a lot of people asking to borrow.

After a Spring of rain and more rain I got a chance to get out the 1641 for some mowing. We have a local volunteer group that mows and maintains the landscaping along the highway entering our little slice of Heaven. If we relied on the City to mow it would get done about every six weeks and look horrible. We prefer the park look and it does make a great impression. We take ownership in our public areas around here seriously. Anyways...

It's been muddy and one section hasn't been mowed because all the other guys have had traction problems. My 1641 with ag tires loaded with washer fluid just walked through the tough sections. Having the mower deck properly set also helped. You guys have been a fantastic resource for all things 1641 and are helping keep our town looking clean and inviting.

Once we raise the money for a proper tractor we'll probably retire the three mowers we are using now, my Cub, an older JD, and a newer big box store Cub that probably won't survive the mowing season.

The Cubota crapped out on me yesterday. It felt like it was not getting any fuel.

It wasnt getting any fuel!

Took off the seat pans, seat, fuel tank and cleaned everything . The tank cutoff valve under the tank was clogged up. I cleaned all the fuel system from tank to injectors and all is well.

Of course, this is the first 90 degree day in this part of NC!

Finished mowing the yard, mopping up spilled diesel, cleaning tools... I'm HOT!

Planned on tilling the garden yesterday, but had a pop up thunderstorm that drenched everything  After the sun came out, I gave the 982 a long needed bath. Hopefully I'll have a few dry days to get in the garden.
