Spent 4 hours tilling my garden!
Sheared the pin on part #35 sprocket (#1 Tiller), though. |

It's been about 4 years since my last post due to family/work responsibilities and I recently retired after 44 years...
Many thanks to all of you who have been great instructors and advisors of which I've learned much. Special shout-out to Sam Mac, R Bedell, yeeter, jaynjeep, JMotuzick (brought back the 682 from Maryland), Cecil, TheSaturnV, and J-Mech. I've been clearing the wooded area in our backyard the past week and removing thorn bushes, poison ivy, vines, rock, and trees smaller than 8" in diameter...with 2/3 of an acre to go... the 682 & the #4 have been my brush/leaf/firewood haulers. |

The 1912 didn't really do any work this day, except carry me through a muddy area to the creek area. We are clearing out along the creek down in my front yard.
Attachment 103853 The best part is my 7 year old daughter made a fishing rod out of a stick, some thread, and a bent sewing pin and said she was going to catch a fish... I said there are no fish and you won't catch anything with that pin. Well, she proved me wrong. She caught a 4" creek chub. :bigthink: I bought her a fishing rod and hooks and left her have at it, and she hasn't caught anything since. So, the homemade stuff works better? :biggrin2: |
As I parked my RZT after a quick spin on Monday, I did what I always do - I lowered the deck to the floor of my shed. But it dawned on me that I'm pulling on the lift assist spring when I put the deck down right? I've always stored my deck down because I have young kids and having it on the ground seemed better than having it elevated and them climbing all over it.
Am I going to wear out my spring faster by storing the deck all the way down? When you guys park, where do you set the deck? |
