Yesterday I had a tree that had been damaged in a tornado in 2006 cut down and removed. I also had them grind the stump out. The workers back filled the hole where they ground the stump out with the wood chips and dirt kicked up by the stump grinder.

Today I got my 1811 out and used its weight to compact the wood chips and dirt down into the hole. The weighted rear wheels really helped with that task.

Later I tried to start my truck and found out I had not let it run long enough the other day when I jumped it after it had sat for a month. Last time I was thinking of using my 1811 to pull it out of the garage but ended up having my brother help me push it cause I was afraid to damage the tractor. I decided the heck with it today and hooked a tow strap between my truck and tractor. Heck the 1811 pulled the truck out like it was not even there. I didnt even feel any stain on my tractors part. I was really impressed.

Then it traded parking spots in the garage with the Scag and is going to stay stabled until next winter unless I can find more excuses to play with it.

Well I removed the center spindle from the deck, changed the oil, and changed the Hytran and filter. In the morning I go to CC and get new bearings, and a belt for the deck, then off to MOW!!!

I finally got the custom 982D decals in and put on.

You only have one wheel weight.

Amigatec-

It's likely he's got them on one side intentionally...that's the land side when pulling a plow, and it's the side that needs the most weight.

I thought the deck bearings you need would be insanely expensive from CC, but I just looked and they're $36 for the pair. That's pretty good.

Matt is correct. There's two weights on the left side for the plow day tomorrow. Another plower is bringing some more incase I need them since this is the first time plowing with this tractor and I haven't had a chance to have the tires filled with rimguard. Hopefully my 220lb big butt will help it.

I called today and the bearing and races are about $10 per set.

I hope this will fix it. The center spindle is the one that never gets greased, it's underneath and hard to get to.

Matt G. 04-09-2010 10:17 PM

Wow...$10 is better yet.

Yeah, not only is the center spindle harder to grease, it also has the most side load on it, so it also needs greasing the most. It should have a 45-degree angled grease fitting on it to make it easier to grease.

Got the mower deck spindle back in and the correct belt on it, and after I adjusted the deck height, it works now.

Man what a mowing machine this thing is!!!

NOTE: I am going to have to tighten up the Hydro lever it wants to speed up on me.
