I changed the front tires on the QL 1000 to 18 x 7.50 x 8 to match the rear 26" tall tires.

http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/...006640x459.jpg

The 7.50's are the exact width of the 16 x 6.50 x 8's I took off so there is no rubbing when turning.

After changing the tires I tried it out by hauling a couple loads of firewood for the Cub shack.

http://i1104.photobucket.com/albums/...003640x417.jpg

I had to keep the trailer loaded front heavy to maintain traction coming down the mountain.

Looks like you could use the front blade as a E brake if you had too.:bigthink:

I think you like showing off that green too much!:biggrin2:

That's a Magnum 660, WHOLE lot of saw!! I never measured it, must be 28-30 inch bar.

I will look for some yellow mud, can't get it in Statesville, all they got is red!!

Diz Jr. 02-07-2012 06:41 AM

partsman

The front tires look nice, CAD!

ACecil, you better paint that trailer or someone might think it is a WheelHorse!!

Trust me, I know!! :biggrin2:

The blade needs scratched!! With those good looking AGs' and wheel weights' you look like you are ready for some serious pushing!!

Allen looks great! I'm loving the big front tires!

CAD that's what a real trailer looks like.:biggrin2:

Diz Jr. 02-07-2012 08:41 PM

ACecil
That looks like a real rig with the blade up front and the trailer on back

ACecil 02-07-2012 10:18 PM

Thanks guys, I appreciate it!

jbrewer 02-08-2012 06:37 AM

Yeah!

Allen, I really like the original look. Nothing like gear that shows it's honest age.

John

ACecil 02-08-2012 12:24 PM

I totally agree, John!

Been keeping busy with the cubs lately. I got the 128 wiring done and running so I put the ags on it. Gotthe 108 in the shop and put the new tru powers on it and slapped a set of hubcaps on that. Finally got the headlights working on the 149. Then me and a buddy built a straight pipe stack at school that ill end up putting on a plow tractor but I just through it on the 149 for now. I was able to make it around the original manifold pipe. She really barks

Donovan M. 02-09-2012 08:55 PM

Well this saturday hopefully get the wireharness in the 100R. get the "O" split and work on the 1250 possibly. And get the 3 point off of the 124 and get that on the 100R. after i paint it. then work on the brinly plow, disk, cultivator. Then make a sleeve hitch or some thing.

The 108 is looking tough, Nick!

Methos 02-10-2012 02:30 PM

Yesterday I went out and plowed my friends garden. He had compost and he needed it turned in before his son's birthday party on the 18th. The plan is to turn it into a monster jam track to match the theme of the birthday party.

It was a bit wet but I got it turned over and brought the loader out to get started on the monster truck track. In the garden I could get the traction I needed but around the garden bed I started sinking and making ruts so I stopped. I'm going back this weekend to try and finish up. The weather is going to be cooler.

I'm glad someone is getting to have some fun. It's snowing here now.

Great pics, Duke!

DWayne, send some my way, I want to try the blade out.

Diz Jr. 02-10-2012 10:53 PM

And the yard was litte to wet. Spinning both tires with 818 lbs on the rear end is not a good thing!:biggrin2:

ACecil 02-11-2012 11:25 PM

That's right, I want some snow. I'm ready to put the blade to work. :biggrin2:

Donovan M. 02-12-2012 12:54 PM

Allen can come up here and plow we have like 7ins or more.

IHinIN 02-12-2012 02:40 PM

All this talk of plowing snow makes me want some seat time.

Yesterday, I went to Harbor Freight shopping for a paint gun. I got a gravity feed gun, stand for filling the gun, and a nice aluminum paint cup all for about $35. Two friends of mine who paint a lot both have the same gun and really like it so I'm sure it will be fine for a novice like myself. Now I'll be ready to paint my dump trailer when it warms up. That will give me something to practice on before I paint the 100.

Used Dually and hauled some limbs to the woods! Also got #2 out for some run time, but no pics. No short sleeves this time, but they'll make a return later in the week.

MrGitrdone41 02-12-2012 05:38 PM

Looking good Allen!:beerchug: I did some plowing and fixed the 73's steering so it has no play at all! I bought a new belt for the 128 with the QA and it works good without a creeper. The motor will be getting rebuilt soon so it will be good all summer. I can't wait to smell fresh cut grass!:beer2:

Diz Jr. 02-12-2012 08:53 PM
