OK I know it's the wrong color and I'm sorry but I got a little seat time with the Orange toy. Got all of four inches here in Galax. Cleaned up the driveway so I could get one of the 2182 in the garage to remove the seat pan and floorboards. A friend of mine that owns a body shop is going to paint the sheet metal for all 3 Supers. One thing that I suck at is painting I can get runs on stuff sitting flat.:beer2:

The snow melted on our driveway before I could get the haban back on the 982:bash2: I pulled it off the other day so I can test my moldboard this week.:biggrin2: oh well, I'd rather turn dirt than push snow........

Ben

It was a waste of time putting the plow & chians on the Bota but they were calling for 4"-8" so I went and put it on. Figured since I had it on why not use it. Took 5 mins to plow the drive. Now I have to pull the plow back off because I need the fel to drop the new engine into the 2284. At least it only takes a few minutes to do it. 1 pin and 2 quick connect hoses.:beerchug:

Nothing wrong with using the bota, after all their 3 cylinder diesels power some of our cubs! :beerchug: Great snow pic!

Today i put the belt and deck back on my 108 to adjust the pto. Then i got the need for some seat time and mowed down our garden spot and didnt think to take pics as i was having too much fun! later this week it will be off with the mower deck and on with the Didier Hydra sickle! And ill make sure to get some acton shots :beerchug:

Got my stack put back on , put a spring assist on the 108 and fixed my 1 of 3 brinly plows. It needed the plate that sticks out the back and packs the furrow. So I built one of those and got it put on. Now im really pumped to start plowing!

It won't be much longer till plow time. Spring is close, I can smell it. Well ok we had 72 degree weather today too, that helped. :beerchug:

Today i pulled the deck on the 108 and put the hydra sickle on. Looks good and works great! :biggrin2: That is until the moment i was working it in a section of tall grass. The engine began hunting and surging, and possibly started to knock. After I got it home it began to backfire through both the carb and exhaust, and choke out as soon as the throttle was moved beyond idle. :bash2: Hopefully i can get back on its feet here soon. So sorry for no action shots but i did take this one for you guys!

Calm, sunny and 65. Nice day to knock down the old dirt mound and put it back where the PO's had a pool. Great day and the old 82 performed like a champ considering the turf tires. Gotta get some chains and weights.

And we need more info and pics on your box blade! Great action pics too!

TheSaturnV 02-27-2012 12:27 PM

Thanks Duke. The box blade is apparently some reproduction of the #40 IH model. I don't have measurements for that blade, but this one matches up very closely visually. The obvious differences are the lack of a separate bolted on back blade (this one has a welded arched piece of steel) and that the crossbar is welded on rather than the U-clamp style attach. (I missed on a #40 last month for $200 :bash2:) No matter, this one is very close, works perfect with the Cub and was $50.

I was able to modify it to fit the wide-frame 3-point of the 882 by drilling just 5 holes, so no major hack job that can't be undone.

ACecil 02-27-2012 12:37 PM

You got a great deal on your box blade!

1541 Decals

I received the left hand decals for my side panel and a new 1541. I can't find the right side. There is a way to make your own apparently. They do on American Restoration. I have a buddy at a sign shop.

I workd alittle on my 128 to get ready to put in a creeper and i pulled a part the driveline and found out the whole driveline was shot! It will but 150$ for a new driveline! man i was poed! I might try a little welding on in first tho.

Don't weld on a driveshaft...you're far too likely to warp it. The new clutch should last 20+ years. You won't regret replacing it.

cavmedic 02-27-2012 09:51 PM

Picked up my new to me 42" blade , put it on for the snow we aren't going to get the rest of the winter :Mad1:

Congrats but that's how it works sometimes.:bash2: Better to have it and not need it then not have it and need it!

I'm starting to think all you do is cut wood! How did the wheel weight install go? Got enough weight on the rear tires now?:biggrin2:

MrGitrdone41 02-28-2012 08:21 PM

Yes Matt i did think of that but I have welded already though. I had to try I'll made a new one soon. It would not be to hard. I have a brand new clutch on it. both springs we're broke.
