I ran out of daylight but I got a little bit done today. The picture only shows 1 pile of top soil but I had 2 to move had to move some rocks to have a place to dump the other load of top soil. I hope to finish up tomorrow I have some 125+ year old day lillies to plant and some other donor plants I need to get installed before I mow grass tomorrow.

Looks like you have been busy  Really looks nice. |
Duke, you've been keeping that 122 busy! Thanks for the nice pics. :beerchug:

Thanks Diz Jr and Allen!
Played with the water fall today and cut some grass so no pics to post. The waterfall needs some tuning before I can start moving the rocks with the loader again. The boxscrape did a great job and the wife was happy I didn't hit the house. Next weekend is all ready planned out and unless I can figure out how to talk my wife into let me take the 122 into our old house it looks like it's sitting idle next week. After 2 years on the market and 80K in price reductions we're renting the old house out until the housing market rebounds. (sorry :OffTopic:) So the pond is going to have to wait until the following week :crap: |
Sad, Sad Day
Well, I was teaching my son how to mow our 5 acres with Smokey the 782after I had just completed repairing everything. All of your guidance was excellent. Anyway, she started to smoke, which I thought was all of the oil residue from this past winter's leaks. Well, sadly, she died today. I tried to start it this morning to pull it up to the shop to check out the smoke, and she ran really, really bad. So, I used the 1450 to pull it to the shop.
One side is pumping air and the other is not. So, it's a bad connecting rod. Anyway, I have now declined the 1863 back home and am looking at either a new 2554, 3200, or a John Deere X530. I can't afford to be down anymore, so I need something new that the wife and kids can enjoy using as well. I may shop for a used motor for the 782, but it would be for snow blowing only or just as a toy. For now, she has taken permanent residence in the back of the barn next to the Spirit of 76 that also hopes to one day ride again. Thanks for all the help. |
I ended up having to pass on doing some major ground work back home due to work. But I got to finish up with the last of the yard work before the new dirt arrives. Problem is, I had to share seat time..
http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...n/101_0323.jpg I found washer fluid on sale that afternoon and figured it was tire filling time also..(9 gal's per) http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...2/101_0326.jpg |
Cool pics, Jay! It's great getting some seat time. :beerchug:

Finally got the two redheads (what my wife calls them) together for a picture. I did a couple plow days with the 982D the last few weeks, now in addition to yard chores, it'll probably be taken to some shows in the area along with the 782.
