Well, I got the valves in my K301 today with the spring compresser that DX3 told me about it worked great! I got all the tins on and put in the tractor and started it up. It started with a puff of smoke than kicked right off! It runs like a brand new motor I'm so happy:beerchug: It sucks that the driveline is out or i would take it for a spin. I'll have pics and a video for u Duke tomorrow!:biggrin2:

Fantastic news, Sam! Looking forward to your pics and vid!

This was yesterday morning,a really nice day considering it's early March. Last week we had about 75 ton of stone hauled in on our lane. The guy that hauled the stone done a good job spreading it except were he stopped and started in one place. So I sure hated to, but I put the blade on the 782 and leveled it off. HE- HE- HE Sure felt good getting some seat time. That's the first work I've done with the 782 since the briggs repower, and it worked really good. Before I could do any grading I had to make a lift rod for the 782 since that was the first time I had put the blade on the 782. Shown below is the white adjustable one I had made for the 149 and the red one for the782. The one for 782 had to have a slight bow in it to clear the spread frame. Before I made the new rod I pulled the tractor's front tires up on two 2x4 blocks so I could measure the rod,and so I could get some added down pressure on the blade once done.

Your looking way too relaxed doing that. :beerchug:

That pic would have looked good in a Cub Cadet pamphlet a few years ago.

PaulS 03-12-2012 11:47 AM

CCSuperMan careful with that adult beverage too much and the driver gets plowed instead of the field. Most times the driver does not care though.:biggrin2:

ACecil 03-12-2012 12:30 PM

Great pic! Looks like the 782 and blade did a nice job for you!

Great pictures, Beautiful 782

yesmar74 03-12-2012 09:39 PM

Thanks everybody for the good words. I was having a ball grading the stone. Diz Jr. ,in your avatar it looks like you have some stone to keep graded too.

TheIHMan 03-12-2012 10:47 PM

We brought out the newer cub today 06 1024LT (I HATE that tractor(wait I shouldn't say tractor, I'll say wimpy lawn mower, that sounds right)) and took the deck off it to put gator blades on it and I crawled under it and was lookin around and saw that the drive belt was almost gone there was literally only about an 1/8 inch left. OMG LOL. Pics later.

Diz Jr. 03-12-2012 11:22 PM

yesmar74,
Yes i have a little bit to grade. But i do the mother-in-laws and one of the neighbors also. I like the rear blade.

Got my pto wear button put on my 108, no more metal on metal! but man that was a pain to get everything lose, and can see the damage from the po having it tightened while running it without one! Since i was in there already i replaced the S/G belt with a NOS IH belt from my dealer and got one for the 123 too :biggrin2:. While at the dealer my friend spotted a red CCC 682, Case IH wants $300 and works great, little bit of hydro slop, missing the grille, a headlight and some interesting po wiring, otherwise its in great shape! Sharped the blades on the 38'' deck number two for the 108 and now it cuts awesome! and to sum up the day took a pic of the workhorse :beerchug:

TheSaturnV 03-14-2012 04:29 PM

Good stuff DD123.

Love that yellow, white, black and green.

Took the 582 out of storage, changed the oil, fresh battery, started right up.This will be my grass cutter.

I also got the 128 ready for plowday on the 14th of April.Put on some ags, weights, spring assist, and the brinly adapter.

Last night I got the front out puts replaced on the 1650. No more leaking hy-tran on the floor! I got the air gap on the 1650 set as well. I've got to get my new mule drive setup installed so I can start tilling the garden.:beerchug: No pics of this time. I was greasy when I noticed I didn't have the camera with me.:bash2:

I told Evan that the 1650 was ready for the show down with the 1864! He couldn't stop talking about racing them tonight after school.:biggrin2: Should be fun! I'll get my wife to snap some pics.

Pa Cooner 03-16-2012 09:37 PM

Finally put a tube in the left front tire on the 3235. I got tired of pumping it up everytime I had to use it.

PaulS 03-16-2012 09:46 PM

Took the jack out to the shed. Jacked up the 2084 and removed the front wheel. Took that to the garage and pumped it up and returned to the shed remounted the wheel. I then drove to the garage and removed the snow blower and chains and took the tractor back to the shed. I need a tube for that durn front wheel. That trick is getting old of removing it and pumping it up and putting back on.

jbrewer 03-16-2012 10:01 PM

123 seat time

First mow of the year!

Took about 1.5 hours and it was a heavy cut, but the 123 ran great. Yeah, it needs brakes, and the hydro control is a bit wonky, and it turns tighter in one direction than the other, BUT it started up in half a second, never missed a beat and cut fine.

The other fixes will come in due time. (I REALLY need some brakes!)

John

Now THAT is a great picture! 782 is look'n SWEEET!! :beerchug: Good job on the lift rod, looks good red, something different. I agree though, you look like your WAY too relaxed. I think you were enjoying yourself that day. Rough job working with gravel and the 782 made it that much more enjoyable. :biggrin2: Now all we need is a group picture of the 782 & the 149!

Look'n good as usual Diz. Gonna have to get you over to do my drive this year. I am pretty sure I will be getting some crushed stone in for it. Sick of the wife  :BlahBlah: :BlahBlah: about how she gets her shoes muddy every time she goes to her car. One of these days :Boxer: I think I am going to loose it with her  and I'll just have to go buy me another CUB! :biggrin2:
Besides, I am getting sick of the stones that are the perfect size to fly through the snow blower. Over half of my drive is about 1 to 2 inch stones that are not packed down good enough and tend to end up on the lawn more often than I want. I figure get some nice crushed stone like on a ball diamond, level it out nice and wet it down and roll the heck out of it, that should make a nice hard packed drive. I worked for the old man, hopefully it will for me? So I might be looking for guys with some grading experience and their cubs! :beer2:

Glad to hear you are mowing already. If our weather holds we will probably be mowing some here by next weekend :beerchug:

Shaner 03-17-2012 11:53 PM

worked on the rear mower project i have going on a little today. i am using a timed deck from an original, a tongue from a #1 cart, and the gear box from a snow thrower to make it. all i have left to do, is get some rear wheels for it so i can level it before i make some final welds. i found a PTO yoke that will fit the spines on the 122's rear PTO. and the turning in reverse thing wont be a problem the way i will have it configured. i can't wait to get it done it will be cool to do a bit of trail mowing with it. i will have to post some pics when i get it done...right at the moment it isn't in any way presentable.

Yesterday we put the deck on the Diesel and I did some mowing with it. Worked great except that dang clover in the grass, it just won't cut.
