Just fired up my last 1872 after 3 years of sitting . Mounted the 60" Haban , charged up a battery , will change the fluids tomorrow pending on the weather , clean her up a bit and sit her for sale out on the highway !! :beerchug:
Tonight I'm going to beef up the front end on the 86 . Larger rod ends and tie rod , thrust bearings etc . |

Attachment 23304 This 122 is my 1st tear down. Now I'm a little concerned about gettin her all back together after its blasted and painted. Have some minor tinkering to do also like redo the steering, there was almost no grease in the box. The 126 will be next year, hopefully. |
Well I don't have any pics but I tore the fenders hood and grill off my 1250 QL and pressure washed the engine and transmission. then i removed the drive shaft and replaced the transmission coupler. I'm still waiting on a couple of flex coupler and a transmission fan. and I'm going to need a new drive shaft too but i will make mine work for now.

the 100's look sweet too Allen, funny i was so excited to try my front blade in the snow this past winter! No snow :( so i pushed dirt too lol |
I hear ya, Adam! I wanted to use my blade, so I pushed grass clippings...lol.

I picked this 4 digit up yesterday. Not mine but had a good trip to TN and back. I thought I was a rock star had lots of people stop and ask me about it and had several people take pics. I had lots of people waving and giving me  during the drive. My 3 hr return trip turned into a 5 hr drive do to all of the stops and cub talking that went on.:beerchug: The kids thought it was great fun my wife not so much.:biggrin2: I had to write down the web site adress for a fella so we might get some new members out of the trip.
|
Looks like you had a great trip, the wife maybe not so much? :biggrin2:

Well had us a little plow day today. Me Mike Jackson, the Smith boys, Greg and his Dad plowed all of dons place but one field. I had the only cub, the 1872, 1 sears, 2 330's and 2 430's. I road on Adams 430 and it was smooth. What I dont like is the fact theres no room for you to move in the seat. Adam and his Dad Steve took my 1872 for a few rounds, both liked the power and the ROOM! That was the first thing they had said about it.
After the trunion springs poped out at RNPD this was the first time I really got to run it hard. Really worked well. I hate the sound of a hydro pump, and still like the feel of the gear drive against the gov more. I had Mike take the 1872 for a few rounds to see if my power steering was working as should. It lost all steering at plow day the other week. He said it it was working fine except that I missed the tightness on the drag link. Well Im never too old to learn something, nor to wise. We started around 200 and loaded up around 6. Maybe mike will post some pics he took. Even if he plowed with his 330. |

Aj the 149 has o be the best all around tractor cub made IMHO. I liked the tiller but traded mine for something, dont even remember if I still have it. Mine was on a 127 with a home made rock shaft and handle. Worked good till you get smacked in the knee!

Mowed grass for the 3rd time this year. Really like the way this 60" deck cuts the grass. Has to be the best cut I've personally ever owned!! Best part is....the wife likes the way it cuts too!! :beerchug:
