You beat me too it but not by much, I didn't even know he had until it was too late. I love the mailing label had to take a quick double take..good for a quick chuckle..

EarlJ 07-25-2012 01:45 AM

Reset the cultivators and dug up a row of potatoes with the 126 today, starting to get ready for the late summer/fall crops. Taking out some of the corn tomorrow since the squirrels have gotten the vast majority of it, andd the okra since the wife/kids are the only one who eats it and they aren't eating it..a few others are gong away also so I can make room for the late beans, collards and a few other veggies for the cans and freezer. The 126 is about to get back to earning her keep and she is happy..

Today, I spent most of the day working on the 100..For a local pull tomorrow. :beerchug:

Put the wheelie bars on, welded on the hitch braces Adam made, and then put a few more weights on.

Here's some pictures. Don't mind the crappy welds!...It's mostly me, but the cheap HF wire isn't the best, either! :biggrin2:

ACecil 07-27-2012 11:16 PM

Looking good, Conner! Good luck at the pulls.

mrcubcadet 07-27-2012 11:19 PM

Thanks, Allen! :beerchug:

The 100 is wanting to pull a wheel stand just by dropping the clutch in 2nd with no load, so I think I will at least move the sled! :biggrin2: ....I hope!

nikster 07-28-2012 07:11 AM

Finally, with the little rain we had last week I got some seat time in & trimmed the grass down.
Haven't cut grass in over 3 weeks.
Nik,

Nik,

Nik glad you was able to get some mower seat time yesterday.:beer2:

Methos 07-28-2012 09:35 AM

I had a Adam aka ajcombs day yesterday.

I started mowing the grass at 2pm and had several break downs. I had to replace the fuel pump only had to drive 16 miles each way to get it. Got the fuel pump installed and had to replace a broken vacuum hose. Got that installed and broke the belt on the deck. Stopped at 5 auto parts stores and TSC and found out none of them had the correct belt. I have to go back to the dealer in the morning and get the correct belt. I also had to repair the fuel line due to a pin hole. I hope I get better gas mileage now! It was to dark to blow off the drive way and I still need to finish mowing the back yard.:bash2:

After I catch up on my OCC reading heading back to the dealer to get the correct belt.

I disassembled a set of hydro relief valves to rebuild them for my 149. Chucked them up in my lathe and had them apart in about 10 minutes. Monday, I'll see about getting new o-rings and get them back together. I might try to figure out how to add a snap ring to make them rebuildable in the future.

Got back from the pull about an hour ago. :beerchug: ...Pulled in two classes.

Defiantly pulled the sled a little ways, and had GREAT power...But, not so good traction. There's a pull next weekend about 20 minutes away, so this week I am going to be getting some filled 8.50's on it, getting the Pro Hooker hitch I just ordered on, and changing up my weight situation on the back (Less, to accommodate the 950 lb weight limit). Should be a different tractor after these few things have been done.

Also started taking the shaft out of the 1782. Unhooked the back, and got the pump adapter off. I am VERY happy to say, it and the pump input shaft are not harmed! The main reason it was wobbling too was because the bolt holding it on the input shaft was loose. :IH Trusted Hand:

Here's a picture of the hitch I ordered. I have ordered from them once before.

Any others on here that have used this hitch?

ajcombs 07-28-2012 11:51 PM

Got to mow the yard with it just yesterday and got hay for the horse and donkey today as well as rode the kids around the property in the trailer! Good time sorry no pics of it was having to much fun!!! :) Did end up almost running over a baby chick/pheasant that the girls had to bring home :bash2: not sure if it will make it, fingers crossed for their sake!

Hate Duke had an Adam day!! LOL and by this he means as of lately i get one thing fixed and find 2 more things broke LOL either on mine or dad's Cubs! Got to get a parts list up for dads!!!

IHinIN 07-29-2012 12:10 AM

I bought some Cub tools today. Got a set of body hammers and dollies to straighten a couple spots on my 149 fenders and bought a 1 ton chain hoist to save my back and fresh paint from damage when I put the engine in my 149. Wish I would have had it when I painted the 149 rear end.

Conner that adapter looks a little worn to me but maybe it's just the pic. Clean it and the shaft up and make sure it's not sloppy. Looks like to PO didn't know what a grease gun was for. Kind of normal with the Cyclops tractors.

Yes, it does in the picture, but its not. :beerchug:

Yeah, he also didn't know that the tunnel cover was not a step! :bash2:

mrcubcadet 07-29-2012 09:48 PM

Today I got under the 1782 and started to work on the front joint. Going to get the new shaft tomorrow morning, and will probably get back to work on it after I get home. :beerchug:

IHinIN 07-29-2012 09:56 PM

I swapped engines in my 100. I pulled out the black replacement 12hp and put in the older 12hp that came out of my 126. The black engine will be getting painted red and going in my 149. It's on the stand so I can remove the grenade gears and remove the tins to prepare it for paint. I wanted the better engine for my mowing tractor since it will get more use. (not this year with the drought:angry:) I got to use my new chain hoist so my back is thanking me.

I also swapped steering columns in the 100 and put the original column back in. I swapped columns out a while back because the bearing races disintegrated and I had the 149 column rebuilt and out of the tractor so I just swapped them out. I didn't realize the 149 column is 1" shorter until I went to close the hood and it hit the steering wheel. Now, the hood closes fine and I have more room between the wheel and dash.

mrcubcadet 07-29-2012 10:34 PM

Excited to see the engine after you get it painted, Adam! :beerchug:
