Today i made the 1650 earn its keep! There is an abandoned house across the street from me and the yard was geting realy tall (to the top of the hood in the worst parts i.e. right of the pic.) But went through it like no other! Had a neighbor eye ballng me from the seat of his husquvarna that was choking out in his yard with grass half as tall. :biggrin2:

Today, I went to the Portland, IN. show, and bought a manual & 2 pt to 3 pt adapters for our 706, a #26 carb, and went halves with a buddy of mine on about 17 10 lb exercise weights for our pullers. :beerchug:

This evening I did some last work to the 1200 (1600) puller, before it get's traded off for a ready-to-pull Wheel Horse 310-8 tomorrow.

Sorry, but the Wheel Horse drive line makes gear speeds extremely easy to change! :biggrin2:

Thanks guys!

Today, I checked the front drive-shaft screws on the 1782, then unhooked the cultivator, put the draw bar on, and hooked to the sweeper. :beerchug:

Did a little road trip today up to Chris Westfall’s place and picked up a 60" Haban, a nice 44" and some parts for Big Vince O and Joe Allen. Chris is a very cool guy. Wish I could have spent a couple hours at his place. He has a cool Cub trencher and a Magna trac. I could get in trouble there. :beerchug:

Saturday, I went over my plowed food plot for the second time with a spring tooth harrow, which pulls out weeds, smooths the soil a bit, and stirs up the top inch or two of soil. Then I seeded 100lbs of winter wheat, plus an expensive blend of Rape and White Clover that I bought at Tractor Supply.
Then I harrowed it again with the teeth set shallow. As I covered the seeds with the harrow and The 147, my 10 year old daughter pulled the trailer around with the Deere lawn tractor to make good contact with the soil.
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...a105/wheat.jpg

I figure it is about half an acre, but I'll get measurements next time. This picture is after I plowed and harrowed once, two weeks ago.

Today, the 147 and front blade cleared out some brushy woods to make a tent site for the kids. I was happy that a Cub Cadet is effective against Multiflora Rose.

ACecil 08-26-2012 10:37 PM

Thanks for all the great pics, guys!

Sorry Allen but I just had to stir the pot. :biggrin2:

Hi Sam...a little toy huh? LOL :biggrin2: That would definitely have Allen drooling all over the place. Would I have to share my toy with him? :biggrin2:
He definitely couldn't pick on me for having little tires then huh? LOL :biggrin2: :biggrin2:

I would love to have that beautiful toy but unfortunately its not in the budget right now unless you take trade ins! LOL :biggrin2:

Just completed the repaint of my O today. Only 2 spray cans of Case IH Iron Guard did the whole tractor for less than what i paid for 6 of the old TSC valspar cans and looks 3 times better! Wont ever be using anything but Iron Guard paint for my cubs! Heres a pic of the O after i put the hood back on. It is by far not a correct repaint or restore. I did it just to do it and make me feel better when looking at it and driving it. I do have a new exhaust for it (siting on the push mower) but took it off to paint and forgot to put it back on for the pic. New tires are also on the to do list as well as put the deck back on. Still up in the air about some fenders but will see anyway. Anyway heres the pic!

SumBum 09-01-2012 01:47 PM

Got the 54" hooked up today. I need ALOT of weight in the back now.
