I've never had a Cub with an Onan but I did have an old Sears with a 20hp Onan. Loved the power but starter went bad close to $200 for a new one.

TMO. I thought those old box end decks mowed kinda crappy too. Once I got a machine with a 44A it mows a lot nicer. You can corner faster with out leaving strips and they handle thicker grass better. This is just my experience, some guys might have a different preference. Also those 2135s are good little mowers. We have one as a back up

The 2135 does a pretty good job, but even it can't hold a candle to my JD X320. It's just a mowing machine, fast, powerful, tight turning radius. I haven't used a 44A deck, so I can't compare it to anything I own now or have own. And I mowed with a lot of different machines and brands. One day I hope to get a commercial ztr, I'm sure I will be impress with it's cut.

You have a impressive cub line up, Terry! Like wise, my uncle's '69 t-top vett cant hold a candel to his '98 svt cobra mustang. But for sure, there is nothing cheap about the vett where as not the case in the svt. One thing turned me off about my ex-girlfriends new jd-something lt was that I could not mow in reverse...what a p.i.t.a! Other than that, the jd sure did cut well with power, and you just cant take that from a jd!:American Flag 1:

Ah, yes, the RIO (Reverse Implement Operation) switch. Actually it's not hard to get used to. I thought about defeating it, but then decided just to get used to it, which I did. And the reverse mowing thingy isn't really JD's fault, it's some lawyer out there. But JD could have design their switch like CCs. But it's no big deal to use, I do it now without even thinking. But, there lies the problem - that and the fact the operator has to look down on the dash to find the switch (I don't have to as I can find that switch in the dark). Messing with that switch takes your focus on looking back, so I guess these safety switches like this one just doesn't really solve the problem. If anything, they make the problem worse.

Not much excitement going on here lately. Same ol' same ol' !
Today I did a little "bush whackin' " and then hooked up my little yard cart to the 2082 to help with the clean up.
