Sam, I believe it could be the check valves.

Well if that is what is leaking that is an easy fix

Jenn and I also discovered the steering column is also leaking.
This is a bit more involved, holler if you need help.

Worked on the shop a little today, should be ready to pull the rear out tomorrow:beerchug:

My WR 250f, but with the amount of work I've done on it, it's more like a electric start YZ250f.:biggrin2:

ACecil 12-04-2012 10:09 PM

Jenn and I found the leak on the 1872. Glad it's an easy fix.

Thanks guys!

Did a PTO swap on the 1210/1640 today. The 1210’s had a 4.5” pulley on the PTO and the Vanguard 16 I put in that came out of a 2160 had a 6” pulley. Worked out to about a 30% overdrive. Before I roasted the bearings in the mower I thought it would be smart to put the correct size PTO on it. Had to get a mounting plate machined to accept the PTO from the old Mag 12 and a bushing for the ID on the PTO. The Kohler has a 1.125” shaft and the Vanguard has a 1” shaft. Sort of a PITA but it’s done and works as it should.

Jenn and I went for a cub ride today. She rode her 2130 and I rode the 782. We had a good time! Jenn also snapped a few pics. :beerchug:

Here's another one...Allen riding off into the sunset.

P.S. Thru the tree line is the only Ethanol plant in the state of North Carolina, right in our back yard.

Thanks, the logo on the light is paying homage to IH and as my neighbors work on their boats and muscle cars, I work on the 1440. My wife calls it a "lawn mower issue". I tell her it's a garden tractor.
