Holy smoke Duke, you is either a real gutsy feller, or the only guy that likes diggin' their own hole.
Sick him Jenn, he seems like he needs a tune up:biggrin2::biggrin2:

ACecil 12-15-2012 05:18 PM

Took the 782 for a ride. I'm enjoying that tractor! On another note, we hope to have the super going next week! :beerchug:

johncub7172 12-17-2012 07:56 PM

Well. I thought I would paint my starter generator of my model 72.

http://i49.tinypic.com/ncg10.jpg[/IM

I would think that I'am restoring a tractor. Thank you Only Cub Cadets. net!

Cubcrazy 12-17-2012 08:36 PM

The gen looks good John!

ACecil 12-17-2012 10:24 PM

Looking good, John! :beerchug:

Methos 12-18-2012 10:46 AM

John that gen looks great! Be careful about leaving it on that paper to long and it will imprint into the paint. BTDT:bash2:

johncub7172 12-18-2012 05:33 PM

Thankyou guys! I think most of you all know the paint is the same as what Zippy1 used for his 100 restoration, Cub Cadet 759-3258 Yellow.

Duke, Thankyou for the head's up! I checked on that and we're all good, no inprints. I let it dry about 30 hours, the first 10 like this:

Just wanted to check in a bit on the 72, thanks again and keep up the good work on your cub cadets!

ACecil 12-19-2012 12:48 PM

Guys, the super is back! We got the new check valve in last night. Too dark to get pics though. :beerchug:

REALLY looks nice John. I like the cub paint, it's not cheap, but real forgiving to use, and almost impossible to get hangers, and it's easy to fix them scratches when they happen. You noticed I didn't say "if it happens'. What I do is spray a little in a rattle can cover, and use a model dispsable paint brush and blend it in. Bad thing is it dries so fast, and you get overspray, the bigger the peice the worst it is, so work fast.
Your doing a fine job:beerchug:

Thank you Zippy1 for the tip! Going for the finish coat on the frame, dash tower and ross steering unit in the morning. You bet, the paint dries quickly!

Well we got hit with a snow storm here today.
More snow in one day than we had all of last winter.
As luck would have it i just put the snow blade on the 149 last Saturday.
So when i finally got home tonite (took about twice as long a usual) i got a little seat time :biggrin2:
