Looks great Sam!

I just have to ask what is that sticking through one of the front port holes.

That's the oil drain hose. Makes it easy to change the oil.:biggrin2:

Changed the tranny fluid and filter on the 1882 today. Pulled the rear cover to make sure every thing was in good condition. Added a vent to the case sort of like JD did on the 317's. Easy job when you have the cover off and it sure helps filling it.:beerchug:

Nice job, Sam! Great talking to you the other day!

Sam, is the vent a barb connection for tubing? Hard to see in the picture. How do you cover it when in use?

Sam Mac 03-07-2012 07:07 PM

Dave

The fitting is a 1/8" pipe to 1/4" hose fitting to a hose to the small gas filter to some more hose, up and over the seat support and zip tied to the fill tube. It stays open all the time. The newer hydros have a vent on the top of the case. Filter keeps the dirt out. Easy and cheap. :biggrin2:

Looks good Sam! I like the vent idea, I know it was a pain when I had to fill up the 1811, ended up unscrewing the fill tube and used a funnel. Do I spy some red IH hardware on the right axle:biggrin2: LOL

Ben

I think a PO may have borrowed the 3 PT that was on this tractor and put an IH bolt in it, any idea who that would be?:bigthink:

Finished the 2282 today. Got the decals from Maple Hunter and big thanks to Rich Patton for the new hood. Nice working with people that deliver as they say they will. :beerchug:

Great job on the 2282, Sam! I like it!

Dave01 03-20-2012 10:30 PM

Sam, I'm not sure which I like less about you - how nice you make a tractor look, or how neat you keep your shop. Makes me feel kind of useless! Could you at least have a few allen wrenches, some rags, and a can of PB Blaster on the floor next to the tractor so it looks lived in!

Say what you like about plastic hoods, these cyclops supers are just very capable, very comfortable, very easy driving tractors. The fact that they didn't make a 3000 series super means these are likely the last of the breed.
