I am stuck trying to fill it through the dip stick tube which at this rate is going to take me hours. Does anybody know of a better way to put oil in these things, there's got to be a better way.

It's a little late now but next time you have the back cover off you can drill and tap the bolt hole at the top of the case for 1/4" pipe and put a vent in it like this.

Good idea!!

Yeah I was thinking that but I think next time I'm going to mess with it I am going to put the extra cast iron rear end that I have in it. :beerchug:

Hey thanks guys. It's a 1782 showing 304 hours.. It has a few issues but seems real clean and unmolested for the most part.

Got some seat time today with the 2182. Hauled a bunch of brush to the brush dump. Man will this thing pull. Then I spread some fertilizer and grass seed. Just a bit of over kill using a Super to tow this little thing.
After that I took the plow and chains off the BX and used it to push the brush into the hole. All in all a good tractor day. :biggrin2:

Methos 03-30-2013 07:51 PM

Sam great pics! All are POTW worthy! Nothing like working our cubs!:beer2:

Shaner 03-30-2013 08:04 PM

left NY for Maryland yesterday morning at 2:30am with my buddy to go pick up some pulling tires for his 102 puller. 26/12-12 size with aluminum rims. got there around 8:30am, swapped cash for tires and started our way back to NY. i hate road trips. just glad where i lived in PA and where i live in NY now are close.

I finished up putting new bearings and changing all the oils in the tiller and put on some new front tires . I'm not sure I like the white wheels . I put a set of wheels and tires on the 1872 when I got it, that I bought for another tractor project . I think I like the silver wheels better whats everyone else think?

ACecil 03-30-2013 08:54 PM

Great pics, guys! Thanks for sharing.

ACecil 03-30-2013 08:55 PM

Jenn and I had a productive day. We changed the oil in Dually and the 782. We also did something else, that will be in another thread. :biggrin2:

Sam Mac 03-30-2013 09:01 PM
