Great picture of the O and the sweeper  |
Well the cold weather is here and I figured this would be a good winter project. So I started pulling apart my 128. The engine is a little tired and uses oil. The clutch is quite worn and hard to use. I know it would be a great opportunity to completely paint it and all that, but it is all original and in great shape, so I think for now I just want to make it mechanically as new as I can. Plan on a rebuild of the engine. Yes I am going to have a shop check the block and am almost certain it will have to be bored. Going with all new parts inside. Plan to upgrade with a new wiring harness, ignition switch, etc., etc.
I know it looks like I was kind of slow, but as I removed bolts I would chase the threads, write down the bolt sizes, location, and so forth so I could replace with new when I am ready to put it back together. The frame and transmission will be cleaned and de-greased and everything lubed replaced as needed. Just a few pictures of today's progress. http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/b...n/Image001.jpg http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/b...n/Image000.jpg http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/b...n/Image005.jpg http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/b...n/Image002.jpg http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/b...n/Image003.jpg http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/b...n/Image006.jpg http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/b...n/Image007.jpg The PTO works good but several of the fiber teeth are gone, so I will rebuild it. This is a .30 caliber bore brush. I cleaned out the PTO set screw holes with it then filled the top hole with PB blaster. Will do each hole a few times. http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/b...n/Image009.jpg http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/b...n/Image008.jpg |
