Tim, nice video you have there. :beerchug:
And yes that 551 will blow the best of all we own, thanks. |
Awesome vid of the 782 in action!
|
hooked up a wide-band oxygen sensor to the Original puller to check the A/F ratio. Kinda geeky, but I had it here.
Dare I say that this is probably the first "O" to use an O2 sensor? :biggrin2: http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/...ps487afa27.jpg http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/...psf7a2efdc.jpg |
Very cool. On my list for someday. Do the rules allow a egt? If you run both for a while it is easy to get a feel for Afr on the egt. Then it can cover daily tune.

147R sees its shadow:)
Had to move some items to another storage location so the 147R got some action. This thing will do awesome burn outs and donuts on the ice! The fresh 14 hp sounds really nice and the straight pipe barks real sweet!
Yea most folks put the blade and snow thrower on the tractor. I just pull them around for show. http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...R/DSC01163.jpg http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...R/DSC01162.jpg http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...R/DSC01161.jpg http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...R/DSC01160.jpg http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/e...R/DSC01159.jpg Regards, Chris |

Made a new lift rod for the snow blower. Old one broke welds and I wanted an adjustable one anyway. Turned out pretty good I think. Had not welded the washer in place on the blower end in this pic but you get the idea :-)
Thought I would show how I made the bends in the press. Used a bar for the initial bend then then a angle to sharpen the bend more for the connection end. One shows the new bar matched up with the blade bar. And a spare I tested a sharp bend with before I made it on the lift bar. moderators - Can I get this moved to homemade or implements? |

Got the 1864 out on this beautiful 63° day and smoothed out some ruts in the yard and got some wood to have a fire on top of the stump in the foreground. :beer2:

Moved some stuff from the garage to the new shed today. (metal) Kinda got over ambitious. Started out ok, moved it a little for a photo shot and big surprise. Decided to pull some off to drive it. lol I put my sam on for other loads and taught him a little about driving with a light front end. Could not take a pic cuz I had to hold down the front while he drove.

Cool pics of the 782!

Got a "new" engine for my 1811. Doesn't smoke, starts good, has about the same hours but better PO care, so I'm told. Came out of an 1862 that had tranny problems and fuel tank problems. My 129 found a new home so I could get this motor. I did the swap last night and it runs great, compared to the old motor :biggrin2: No smoke, no knocking, and didn't burn any oil (plus it had the flywheel guard and an air cleaner with no holes in it). Good news is now I've got a spare M18 sitting in my shop for parts should they ever be needed. Anywho, here's a pic of the new motor next to the old one. The new is the dirtier one :biggrin2: In this pic, I hadn't wiped it down or anything else. After I took it, I removed the shrouds and found a surprisingly clean motor. This had been sitting for about a year so that accounts for the dirt...I guess :bigthink:

Sugaring with a 1711
1 Attachment(s)
Spent most of today running sugaring tubing with the 1711. We have over a foot of snow in the woods but with the help of a mini dozer I built a few years ago and the 1711 I was able to plow a road down back and start setting up for the next sap run. Will be using the 1711 to haul sap as well.

Sorry if this is off topic (yes the color is wrong). Here is the mini-Dozer.
As for sugaring. Trees are tapped in the late winter to spring. The sap runs best with freezing nights and above freezing days. Once the trees bud you are done. Collected close to 700 gals of sap last year to make just over 14 gals of maple syrup. 1711 hauled all the sap. |

Should have put this one up yesterday. Here is photo from last year with the 1711 set up to haul sap. Back rack was built to hold 3 - 7 gal water jugs.

You have some nice machines!
|
That is one very cool crawler!
Enjoy hearing about the sugaring and fantastic to hear about cubs working for a living. |
Nice dozer and 1711!:beerchug:
|
