I'm pretty sure putting two wide frame springs will not work, you can't double up the nf ones because the tips of the springs are not flat.Maybe I am missing something. How would you adjust it with the nf gauge?

I see what you're saying. So if I just rebuild it (the normal way) I should be ok? The preasure plate and pulley surfaces are smooth, but do look a little burnt from the clutch disc, What should I do to clean up these two surfaces? There not grooved, just what I would call burnt I guess.
So what I need is a re-build kit, spring and disc, spring compession and throw-out levers also?
Thanks

Zipester,
If the throw out levers are bad, usually from the fiber button wearing out and metal to metal contact damages them, otherwise just the rebuild kit and some new compression springs.Use double jam nuts on the bolts.
I put both plates on a flat surface and rough them up with 60 grit sandpaper in a back and forth motion.

Yeah, like I said in a earlier post, I wasn't sure if the NF PTO's could use a double spring or not. I know my 128 had double springs so I was thinking it would add some pressure for him. More info I am learning too. :beerchug:

Well with you all giving me the guidance, we got the 123 and tiller diggin' dirt tonight:beerchug: Sweet!!!!
Picked up a rebuild kit and new springs, lever throw outs and button, everything new just to be safe. Sanded the pulley and pressure plate with 60 grit, put her together, and put it to the ground and it never missed a beat.
Now in doing so I found out the 123 is hard to keep at a steady pace:bigthink: I'm already thinking I know what that is.
But thanks to you all for your guidance, Greatly appreciated.
Until the next problem arises.
