methos your a pimp buddy :)
i figured it out tho. im such a dummy sometimes i tell ya. points ignition same as my 72 chevy van had before i swapped to HEI. coil to spark plug mainly... its a 12hp. so thats 126 correct? anyway ill post up pics tommorow. Should i post them here? or start another thread in another sub category instead of the newb section.... Gonna have to get a new spark plug wire. Besides that the thing runs like a EFFING CHAMP! jumped it from the van and it started right over... orginal fuel line leaks... go figure right? mows real good. gonna have to get a new belt. heres what i've noticed that i need to get for it. the hood is jerry rigged. so either need a new one or get someone to weld it up and put the holes where there suppose to go. fuel line coil wire need the 2 screws to hold the grille on which i bet i can match at ace hardware. new belt and i need the deck guards for a 42" deck. just showing pulleys. IIRC they have covers for them. guess ill have to start looking around. oh and the brakes dont work worth a crap.? the clutch / brake is same pedal correct? lol. they barely stop the thing. lol so ill have to search for servicing brakes on here i guess. |

The fenders are what telle me it's a 106 or 126. Looks like a good deal though. Good luck on getting it. Good to have you on OCC.

def be doing that tommorow.
found some spindle guards on evilbay for 1.50$ both sides... not sure they'll work so ill post link up tommorow when i post pic of deck and etc. I cant believe darn thing has orginal fuel line... it's gotta be the condition it's in. so thats getting replaced tommorow since my nice new fuel is leaking on to the ground... good job on my end just putting in enough to test it :) but once the fuel line is replaced fill it back up jump it and imma run up to the car wash bout a mile away... *backroads* and pressure wash it off... hopefully no water will jump on anything important... from what chart says it was a 1970 model i guess? |
