Herculiner is great stuff. I applied it to the bumper and racks of my Yamaha Grizzly and it's really durable. It also made the chinsy stock bumper soo much stronger. The important thing would be to make sure the underside of the mower deck is completely free of dirt, rust, and grass in order for the Herculiner to stick.

This year, I tried powdercoating my mower deck. Bottom side looks horrible, and grass sticks to it like mad. Really takes a good scrubbing n scraping to get the cakes off. Next season, Im trying the teflon paint. I also want to seal the gaps in the baffles, so grass doesn't get stuck in those gaps.

I've tried everything on mine, but no luck. I think my trouble comes from cutting next to the gravel driveway. The grass is moist and the gravel dust sticks to it, and the longer I let it go, the harder the buildup becomes.
I have to clean mine out after each cutting. If I go for several cuttings I have to actually at times use a air hammer to get it out.
I use my electric hoist I picked up from Harbor a few years back. I'd be lost without it. Two straps around the front axle and push the button and up it goes, makes cleaning easy.

Dang, Todd, that must be some hard stuff you have under there!! Air hammer...yikes! I have resorted to my pressure washer sometimes. The turbo nozzle works well. Just gotta make sure it's good and dry before cutting grass again.

It can be 90 for three strait days, and it's the same. All the dust from the drive way collects on the edge of the lawn, and the longer I go without cleaning, the harder it is. Plus cutting around the pond where it's always moist dosn't help. So I've come to the habit of cleaning more often than not.
