I would guess a hydraulic dump wagon or a log splitter or maybe both.

Ok, finally got a few pics. First things first, cut the lawn for the first time with it (1acre), did well I'm impressed for ~40yrs old. Now for the pics. The first pic is straight on, shows what looks like to be 3 hydaulic connections and a wire harness of some sort. The second pic is from underneath. The third pic is a closeup of the hitch and rear end. Still, cant figure out what the heck they would have used those connections for. I have the pump but no rear PTO. I also attached a pic of the toggle switches/fuses. I have no idea what they went to or were used for. All I know was I pulled 30AMP fuses from them still in tact. Another funny things is there is the slot for the creeper shifter, but no creeper installed (I don't think).

Were there hoses or wires hooked up to any of those connections in the back? It could be that there were there just to hold the hydro lines from dragging on the ground when they used the cub to move trailers around. In the last pic they used a NF light switch. It's just to the left of the key switch. The creeper slot was already there from the factory. Most loaders use the front pto to run their hydro pumps. The pump doesn't have to be huge to provide good pressure. Got pics of that pump? :WWP: Have you pulled your tunnel cover off yet? Need pics of that as well please. :WWP:

Thanks Methos, I'm going to be out of town tonight. I'll try and get some of those shots for you on Thursday. I love new old toys.

I got a little bit of a back story on the Tractor. Apparently the guy my Grandfather bought it from owned a lawn care business. He used to pull around large spreaders/sprayers/rollers. My grandfather added the 42inch deck when he bought it in 79. Would a sprayer require hydraulic's?

You may have a hydraulic motor there instead of a pump, and the pump end of the setup is gone... or maybe there's a pulley mounted somewhere on the driveline that the pump was using. Definitely need more pictures! =)

I have 2 1650's and an 1811 that came from a guy that had a lawn care business. He had hydraulic driven implements. Dump trailer (which I have no need for), core aerator and seeder. There's not enough pressure to run a log splitter off a hydro pump but a p/s pump can run one. On the tractors they disabled the lifts. But 1 of the 1650's has factory dual hydraulics and 2B tiller!:biggrin2:

Finally got a few pictures of the pump (Model 15A60). Sorry for the poor quality my cannon is on its way out. Didn't write down the manufacturer and my picture is blurry. Anyone recognize it? Still unsure of how or why it was with the tractor.

The PO used a NF hydro lift to the rear ports on the tractor. It is a IH item and they are in demand. It is missing some parts like the mounting brakets, lines, handle assy and looks like the pulley has been removed for a smaller one.

So this was mounted where? The front?

Look for a pulley right behind the flywheel screen. It will be on the drive cup for the driveshaft. Well, that was the factory drive location for that pump. It mounted just under the steering wheel on the right side. Again, that is the usual placement of that pump in original or dealer installed placement.
