Well, I slid the blade under the QL1000 today!
It looks like it was made to fit under a Cub, the Gravely wheel base must be similar. I took some dimensions, now I will fab some brackets.:bigthink: |

Well I have cut out some brackets.
They will attach to the rear axle like the disc brakes do presently, except further in towards the center. Attachment 18679 I guess it is time for a moderator to move this thread to the new " Home Made" area!! More to come!! |
Those brackets look nice! I will be interested to see how it works out! Please post lots of pictures once its mounted!

Nice job on the brackets! :beerchug:

Well I made a kit of parts, and took a photo.
Attachment 18745 I looked at the photo and decided the formed part I made was inadequate for the blade bracket. Back to the torch, and a difficult match drill to make the holes align. Attachment 18746 The part is 1" thick, the three 1" and one 3/4" holes are flame cut. (It is real tough to cut a hole of smaller diameter than the thickness of the material) I flame cut the holes as I did not have a .030" clearance size (.780") drill bit. The "clamping" holes are 3/8" and uses 4 1/2" long bolts. I am "Tebowing" right now, hoping these parts will fit the QL1000 and the blade!! Pretty good game so far!! |
Looking good!
