The beauty (?!) of having a red, black white, yellow and rust colored tractor, is that almost any kind of paint that is on sale is better than what's on the tractor.

Do you have a Fleet Farm in your area? I know here in MN they have Valspar tractor paint (where I originally found it before TSC)

And _DX3_ that is a nice looking paint job :beerchug:

Google Valspar paint. There are 2 websites, one for home, one for equipment paint.

The equipment website will give the locations near you.

TSC was just nice and convenient!!

Trance port yellow is close.

I haven't done a side by side comparison of Cub dealer yellow and Valspar Cub yellow, but to my eye the colors are very close. Maybe someone can post a pic showing the comparison. Keep in mind, that the yellow can be adjusted lighter or darker depending on the color primer used. Red oxide primer, for instance will give the yellow a deeper look like Kodak yellow, while grey primer will make it appear brighter. As far as quality, 2 years after using TSC Kubota Orange on my Sears Suburban and the gloss and color look great.

TSC Valspar Transport Yellow painted this last Saturday!!

Yellow paint over bare metal, I am not patient enough to use primer, never have been!!:bigthink:

I removed the paint with 40 grit sanding belt cut to 6" discs (two discs used) and 3M spray adhesive bonded to a (air) DA sander pad.

Yes, I recently bought two quarts of transport yellow and IH white at TSC. It was JUST long enough, however, that I didn't get the discount! :biggrin2:

I went to my TSC this afternoon and someone had gotten every gallon of IH red and every can but 1 of the IH red spray. I ended up buying most of the qts of IH red that were left (5), a gallon of red primer, a gallon of IH white, a can of hardener and a qt of gray primer and the last spray can or red. They did have the antique spray cans of IH red and plenty of every other color for machinery in qts, gallons an spray. Regular price would have been $169 sale cost $127. If money holds out I may go back and get some more primer and black. They already have the Majjic brand for sale I think it is $25 or $26 per gallon. None of the employees could tell me anything about why they switched or the quality of the Majjic brand.
