I was at a local tractor show when the high winds hit. The majority that had awnings up at the show lost them. One shirt and hat vendor lost 30% of the items he was selling. The whole area lost power. Mine finally came back on yesterday around 4 PM. Some in my area are still without power.

Here in SE MI all we are doing is praying for rain and a relief to the oppressive heat and humidity. Pop up storms come and go but don't provide much rain or relief. We need the grass to grow so I can get more seat time, not to mention the crops!

We have had triple digits with a peak of 109* on saturday. Now entering the week right at 100* and supposed to stay there all week. Too hot out for any seat time for anytime of day here, grass has turned to dust.

Are you talking about Nashville TN or Southern IL. :bash2:  :biggrin2: LOL

Our power came on about one hour ago. :beerchug:

It is turning over 100* here, all the grass and gardens around here are drying up. We rented a trash pump and filled up two 250 gallon tanks for our garden, that will keep it alive for another week.

Both actually! :biggrin2: Been talking to family up there and both places are suffering. Talked to my granddad the other day and they went from 106* to 74* after a quick deep soaking thrunder storm. Only rain we have had here was enough to make the ground wet so you could tell where everyone parked their cars.

Just got pounded again here in Galax. Nasty T storm, hail, wind etc. Lost another apple tree. More seat time tomorrow with the BX. :bash2:

Thankfully we've been missing the bad stuff.

No kidding. I can not believe how the power company runs power lines in this area, they have lines running right through the trees. And they wonder why they have problems. When I moved here one of the first things I did to my place was put in a 20KW standby gen set. :biggrin2:

APCO is about the worst company for maintaining the right of way for their lines. I have a cousin that works for them and in the past 12 years the budget for yearly line maintenance (right of way) has been cut by 65% in southern wv/southwest va.
