Just kidding AJ. That is an Onan B48G out of a JD 420. I think the JD guys said that it blocked some of the airflow to the cylinder on the Onans. I think the remote mount is the way to go, although that fella up in Pickens SC has a Mag with the filter on the side of the engine.:HeadScratch:

I have a horizontal m18 out of a ford lgt 18h and the filter is coming off the block,I prefer it that way the hoses are another to go out and can be in the way.

Right now, I am looking at the area under the gas tank. There looks to be enough room and all I will have to do is make a mt bracket and drill a couple holes in the firewall for the hoses. I do think it will make a nice looking installation. Supposed to be in the 70's tomorrow, so should be really nice working in the shop. Will let you know how this works or doesn't work.

Thanks for all the input.

That's where they were mounted from the factory. I don't recommend drilling holes for the oil lines. I recommend doing what the factory did and just cut out a rectangle in the edge of the firewall for the lines to pass through.
