I like 104s..... when you say they have a lift spring and weights; those by themselves are expensive enough. One is missing a hood ornament and the other is installed backwards; an easy fix. As far as no lights go; those are easy to install as well, dad did it on his 125 some years ago.

You could sell the weights, one of the seats, the rear lift off one, and a few other high dollar parts, take the rest of the parts you need to make one good runner, and part the rest out of the parts tractor and end up financing a total refurb. Id say you are in good shape. The wheel weights go for $150 for the pair and the spring assist between $50-$100 Rear lifts $75-$125. Thatll pay for a rebuild kit for the motor, misc repair parts, and paint.

Mines a lowbudget hobbys as well but I still have 4 cubs of which one is being restored. And 3 off brand that I toy around with. A 123 124 1650 and a original ... Somehow you always find more

Folks, I'd like to retract my statement in the first post that some may view I doubted these tractors were bought from their original owner. I was not aware they currently belong to a member here. There's no way I would intentionally question the integrity of anyone on this site. I still do not know which member I insulted, but again I sincerely apologize. Wanted to "make it right" by posting this statement.

I think you did good. Sometimes I will get something fixed up and keep for a while then get bored with it and get something different to work on. So now you have something to work on and have fun. Congrats. :biggrin2:

I think you did ok. If you enjoy working on them and the challenge of getting them running, more power to you.
But sometimes it's just nice to enjoy what you've accomplished, and work em':beerchug:
