Guys - I'd like to expand on the original question.

I have a 104 and was lucky enough to be given a box full of Cub odds and ends. One of the items was a lift lever for a NF (IH-384655-R1) as well as the shaft and lift pin. What I didn't get was the lift bar or the attaching plate but I'll worry about getting those at a later date.

What I'm trying to figure out is how does the lift lever mount? I know for 106 - 147 you need the mounting bracket but the parts diagrams for the 104 doesn't show that. The manual has a bad picture of the 3 point hitch and doesn't show any detail how to mount it.
Any help would be appreciated (and be warned I will be looking for dimensions of the lift bar in the future)

Thanks
Richard

rlueders,

Speaking for myself; In many cases I can't see the forest because all those darn trees are in the way.

Sometimes it's easy to do, but in this case don't make this harder than it really is.

Go here, http://www.partstree.com/parts/?lc=c...&dn=0011200025

Part number 6 has two holes in it toward the back, up under the seat, and two holes only, those are the ones.

Remove part #7 (4 bolts) Not mandatory but it makes it easier to see.

Take one rear wheel and tire off, put the casting up in the opening and put the pin through. Because the fenders are in the way of the casting mounting holes there are access holes in the fenders, the pin will need to go through access hole in the fender to get to the mounting holes.

This is one of those things that you don't need to over think just go do it.

Sam - boy is my face red. Yeah I overthink everything.

I got looking at the frame on the 104 and realized the metalwork bends in just out of sight. Wonder why they didn't add the washer around the hole to strengthen it like is done on the WF.

So now if anyone has dimensions of the lift bar I would appreciate it.

Thanks again
Richard

Is that the right one for my 125 too? I am still trying to figure out what I need? I see all different parts on Ebay that claim to be NF sleeve hitches and three point hitches.

Yosemite Sam 08-04-2010 06:34 PM

Yes it is, all the Narrow Frame tractors use the same 3 point hitch, EXCEPT the 1X6/7 series, they use the "extra" bracket pictured in post #8 of this thread.

I am still looking for a clear picture of a 125 with three point and sleeve hitch. I look at the parts online, look at my tractor, and just don't see it all going together. I don't mean to highjack here. this thread just made me think about my question.
