I do need to clearify something. On the parts illistrations, it looks like the "pump bearing" spindles do Not require a seal. It has been a long time since I took the donor deck apart and can not remember. Is this correct? No seals? |
Deck looks good. I'm not sure what your talking about with the "pump bearing spindles", can you explain?

Well finally had a few hours to work on deck today. Got all my parts together. Attachment 54340
Thought I could finish today. Ha Had been so long since I disassembled the deck, I forgot the sequence to put spindles back together. Had to come in and do some searching. Glad I did. Saw where one seal needs to be put in upside down. Got 2 of the three bearings back on. Always tomorrow. Ha |

Well i finally finished the deck, sort of. Still need decals and 2 spindle nuts. I used grade 8 nuts on top of spindles. They were to tall for the pulley cover to fit. I probably won't put cover on but if I wanted to later, then I could. I put on my 782 to test. Will keep on it till the 1872 is ready to use.
These tractors are kind of a pandoras box. Now rebuilding the mule drive and "carriage' for the 1872. So since I always enjoy pictures of your projects. Attachment 54723 Attachment 54720 |
Are you gonna mow with it or is it for show? It looks great.
