Sitting on your tractor seat looking down at the release valves the one on your right side is the rev valve

Isn't this backwards? The manual valves came first, and then they were replaced by the automatic ones.

Ok, I was kinda thinking that too......So I should be looking for the automatic ones realistically....a little more money, but worth it in the end?

I'd put in the auto valves, and it is a done deal.
Then you don't have to fool with the release lever and its associated problems of rusting or breaking on the older tractors.
IIRR J.D. obsoleted the manual valves and only offers the auto ones, I’d say it is a good upgrade.
