Ground speeds are fine. Deck lowers faster than it raises.

I've never done this and if you try it, proceed with caution.

I might try taking a pressure hose off at the lift cylinder, cycle the control valve and see what kind of flow/pressure you get. Pressure only on a gauge wouldn't tell you much.

I did something similar to this on my 1864 when I couldn't get the deck to lift so I took a hose off the control valve and noticed little or nothing coming out of the control valve going to the cylinder unless I cycled the steering wheel.

I guess the problem was in the PS box not letting flow through unless the steering was cycled. That wouldn't be your problem though as you have no PS.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the hyd cylinder has more than likely got a bad piston seal allowing it to bleed over going up.:bigthink:

Can you get ahold of a flow meter and a pressure gauge that may pin point your problem. If not there were some good suggestions on what to check. You may also want to check the spring in the relief valve to make sure its not damaged although that would be pretty rare.
