Have you thought about welding the tank, if it is not too big of a hole. I saw some neat vids on Youtube about guys welding plastic. One guy told me that little plastic army men make good material for a plastic weld. I have a 42" or something like that roller that I picked up with a slice in the roller because PO left water in it for the winter. I found out about plastic welding after I used a JB weld epoxy on it. The epoxy has held up so well that there hasn't been a need to weld it, but I do not know if it would hold up with fuel always on it.
