I usually just unbolt the muffler from the shield and loosen the clamp and start wiggling it back and forth.

yeah I tried that...not happening! Gonna try some heat on it this evening and see what goes!

well the muffler came off without too much trouble...the elbow on the other hand is shot...threads are ate up pretty good..need to find another one!
