I just got a Stihl MS 271 Farm Boss a few weeks back. Awesome saw. I went with an 18" bar.

Mr Hall, nice collection!!!! I have a Clinton d65 pro but that's about as old as I go, and that's the only saw I don't use..I like those old double handles... I think henry disston invented a saw that took an 84" bar twin cylinder, (2 man with the 84") at some point early on, but not sure details.... Good posts guys keep em coming....I have a friend who has some old David Bradleys....but I like my 2 old homies....they were free and that little xl2 is a beast of a climbing saw...although not the safest with no brake...but like I said...a 200t is waaaaaay out of my $ league...

028s were good saws, built like a pro saw....

Here's the mufflers I sell for 046,066, 460mags and 660s

I also just built a fried 290 into an insane ported 390, but I'm having impulse line problems...should be interesting for a clamshell saw....
Nice saws guys...
Like the old homies....any old macs??

We've got couple of old McCullough saws. One is a 2 man. Homelite is actually more common here than macs. My favorites were always the 2 man saws. Mercury and Disston (essentially the same), Poulan and Mall are the most common here. I have managed to acquire 3 Titans. No mosquitos with those--1 pt of 50W oil to the gallon of gas. The pics I posted were from last year. That was the first time we had ran any of the old ones in about 10 years. I've got some that haven't seen daylight in 15. I'm thinking part of my hearing trouble is running those old 1 man saws--got a Clinton with a exhaust trumpet for a muffler! Believe it or not, those 2 man Mercury's are quieter than a 12hp Kohler, can't say that about the others. If I run across any more pics I'll post them. Really need to post a pic of my Strunk--1 man saw made in Coatsville, Pa--it mixes its own oil and gas.

I've seen a few malls...what Clinton do you have???? Mine has that same sheep horn exhaust...nice collection....and you use em!!! I still wouldn't trade my "worked" 460mag for anything.....

Any body do tree work?? Climbing, bucket work, precision falling, forestry work, getting paid????

Some pics....there's that crazy 290 (64.5cc now) she runs but needs an impulse line before I break it in..those homeowner/farm/ranch saws are not fun to tear down....

Always have like 4-5 trimmer heads..the one is a OHV 4 stroke, (for sale)...and then my baby...shes the only saw that comes in the house :biggrin2:

There's that Clinton with 32" beavertail

I have an 029 that gets some use... I got it in 1994 brand new. I'll be getting my dads 61 Husky. I've cut way more trees with dads than my own. The only thing I don't like about the husky is that when it's above 60, she don't run the greatest. Stalls at idle. She screams though when you need her! :beerchug:
