Forgot about my chainsaw! Bought a brand new Stihl chainsaw 7 years ago when we first bought our house, and I think the only thing I've ever done to it was buy a more aggressive chain. Sharpening and cleaning is the only maintenance I've ever done on it, and it has always started on the first or second pull.

I liked mowing with Cub Cadets,, until I found a Gravely with a shaft driven mower,,
The Gravely was great,, until an old lady was selling her deceased husbands JD tractor and mower,,,

This year,, I bought a 2013 JD 4105,, I hope to find a RFM for it,,,
If it never cuts a blade of grass,, it was well worth the price for the smile it puts on the grandchildren's faces,,,

It took me 30+ years of mowing to realize mowing requires a diesel engine. :bigthink:

Maybe the gas engines would have lasted longer,,, if they had the air/oil filtration that are normal on a diesel?

I think you need to get a bigger tractor to pull that cart. :biggrin2:

The 2 cylinder diesel sounds better,,, but, it just did not have enough power to pull that cart,,, :bigthink:

I own half dozen husqvarnas and 2 stihl saws. Never had any issues with eother brands and most were bought used and abused, after a good once over I will take any one of them into the woods with nothing but a saw wrench, file and gas and oil. I even have a "sears" saw that was built in the mid 80's that I bought for 15$ needing a new sproket could not find through sears, finaly found out it was a husqy saw in a sears case. I hand ported and polished cylinder and muffler mod and it screams for 8-10 hrs a day with nothing more than a sharpening and tightening of chain.

All my tools are Craftsman except the few Snap Ons I have. Just today I was cranking my Red Max leaf blower that I have had for around 15 years. It has never failed to start right up as well as the weed eater I bought at the same time. If I need a tool, it will be a Craftsman and same way with the lawn equipment except Red Max. The only bad thing about that leaf blower is it's a back pack and as I get older, I find it harder and harder to put it on. :biggrin2:
I hate things made in any Asian country. Cheap and throw away after they quit. And that's where all our manufacturing went. :bigeyes: At least mine did.

My 1969 3 bedroom ranch (made of yellow pine )will outlast the

My 46 Willys CJ2A is still going strong and I still have the Triumph Bonneville I bought new in 1976.

I have some rocks in my yard, still there, last a long time.
