I had a hard time pulling the trigger on the Firestone's myself. BUT I had to have a pair, and no regrets, but they are only on one tractor due to the price...:bigthink:

Yeah, unless something else comes along I can't turn down, I'm gonna hold out for the V61s, gonna call Millers to get a better idea when they'll have them. What are the front tires you are running on the 149, a standard straight rib? I do like the looks of the square shoulder on the V61 and the deep ribs

Just a straight rib. They were on the tractor when I bought it a few years ago, they hold air so I'm good with them. I like the look of the V61's much better but I'm not about to spend the $$$ on them for this tractor. It only gets a couple hours of use per year. :biggrin2:

WCompton narrowed a pair of wheels on his 782. There are no pics of it on here. I think he cut 2" out with a lathe and welded them back together. I'll try to find a pic on the web.

Edit: He has changed them to bolt on wheels now. Spacebook search wouldn't let me search back that far.

Those tri ribs really do look nice. I called Miller this morning and they put me on their contact list to notify me when the V61s come in said should be next week. I'll see how they look and perform maybe do tri ribs in 18x8.50 on big red

I've got Carslile 4 ribs on the front of my 147 and they work great for all applications; mowing, tilling; snow plowing, driving kids around, etc.

Broke down and bought the tri ribs from Miller and set of rear ags for the 782. Will be here next week some time, I'll have my buddy dismount the turfs and mount the new ones. Was gonna go ahead and get V61s for the 982 while I was at it to complement the Goodyear ags in the back but figured just get one done at a time.
