Nanco and Deestone tires are shorter than even a set of turf tires. Way shorter than the other lugs.

I'm thinking of going with a 23x10.5 as they would have less of a tendency to dig holes being a wider tire.
Also the 10.5 width have deeper lugs than the 8.5 according to the specs I have found (for tru power and firestone at least). the only problem is the pictures I have seen of the tru power 10.5 look kind of lame compared tru power 8.5. which brings me back around to the firestone, but at $145 a pop that seems a bit excessive |

Attachment 90066 tru power 23x8.5 Attachment 90067 see what I mean? the edge of the lug is much less defined on the wider tire. kind of dumb looking if you ask me. |

My local TSC are asking $99 each for the 23 x 10.5 x 12 Hi-Run ag tire. I thought this price is too high.
I did have a new set of Carlisle Tru Power but sold them to a former member here before I got to use them. Any new tire is going to be better than an old, worn tire. So, with out offence to the group, I'd suggest finding a bar tire with in your budget that is going to provide service, and for the cool factor. |
Fact is, garden tractor rubber is altogether to expensive!!
