Deck seems to slow down and engine don't compensate for a phantom load.

Sorry I havent checked here in a couple days. It seems like it has been slowly loosing power. It doesn't smoke, burns a little oil, but not excessive. It's not just the mower deck that affects it. Just running it at full throttle & pushing up on the lever to make it move makes it bog down (governor doesnt seem to kick in to give more power).

I don't want to sound silly, but have you replaced the air cleaner recently? :bigthink:

I will try that, thanks.

If it does it just by moving you have other issues. It could be as simple as fuel problem. Dirty filter or clogged line. I would go through the fuel system completely first.

When was the last time the air cleaner was serviced?

Sometimes it's a simple thing that reduces power. On my 125, it was as simple as tightening a clamp on the carb. ( sorry but your carb has a different assembly. They upgraded this older version )

Hmmm, probably last summer. My couple acres has alot of bare spots this year & therefore kicks up alot of dust when mowing. So this very well could be the culprit. Picking up new one today.
