Got The 782 Running
3 Attachment(s)
Today, I had succeeded in getting the 768 to crank and run. This is the first time the 782 has run since my dad died in 1986. It sounded good. The PTO works. I forgot to put screws in the points cover holes, so I had some oil spray.
Thank you to everyone for the advice. I have learned a lot from this forum. I would not have been able to do this without this forum. I am not a mechanic by any means but I like to tinker. I had 3 or 4 service shops that wanted to condemn it. Now, I need to change the oil and oil filter, buy a points cover and gasket, replace the original tires front and rear, hook up the Z bend for the throttle and choke, get the headlights working, air filter cover, clean and add the hubcaps, etc. I still have trouble with getting the z bend in the hole and adjusting throttle cables. Thank you again. |
